Why I Became a Teacher...

I’ve become a children’s because I love seeing their faces light up when I teach them something really cool. I want our young friends to be curious about their environment, to always ask questions and to know that it is okay to not know the answer. Being an educator isn’t to know all the answers but be able to show how to find them. When kids learn that at a young age then it will help maintain their curiosity later in life. I really enjoy showing children the natural world and getting them excited about science. Growing up I was made fun of for being a “nerd” because I loved science. I want to be that living example for children showing them that they can be whatever they want to be because that’s what I did. I didn’t let the bullies bring me down then and now I am doing what I love every single day.

My Educational Background...

A Person who Inspires Me...

Steve Irwin and his family inspire me everyday. His love for wildlife conservation have spread across the world and I hope that one day someone will say that I remind them of him.

Biology, specifically zoology. I love working with animals and I love to teach people about them.
