What sets this preschool program apart from the others?
A 1: 5 ratio – Academic Gardens is proud to have the lowest teacher-to-student ratios in the area. The small class sizes are just right for the little ones allowing special loving attention to those first time schoolers. Being comfortable in this new experience is important and being able to work closely with the 3 year olds allows us to nurture their needs and emphasize the joy of learning. This helps the little ones to start to build that important self esteem and confidence they need to move on to their next level of education. This is often their first opportunity to learn and socialize in a supervised, loving environment around adults that aren’t mom and dad. Here they can begin to learn to interact with others their same age. It is a group that is small enough to allow the children to get to know each other and stress the importance of each child being a valuable participant and contributor to the class.
One Teacher per 5 Students: - Individualized attention remains an essential part of a child’s first school experiences! Our 1:5 ratio allows the teachers to provide the children with more comfort during separation anxiety, more assistance with bathroom needs, more frequent examples and reminders of appropriate behavior, and more involved classroom activities!
We are a developmentally appropriate preschooll –We will introduce your child to their first school experience in a warm setting that goes beyond babysitters and chaotic daycare by introducing them to the joy of learning. It is a program that first meets the children’s important emotional needs of safety and belonging, and then provides ample, developmentally appropriate academic and social experiences.
