6. Keeping all work at a rug or table
Purpose: To develop order
To aid concentration

7. Asking politely to join a child working on an activity
Purpose: To give sense of ownership and rights of others
To encourage sharing

8. Group time is quiet time
Purpose: To learn listening skills
To learn manners in a group

9. Keeping legs crossed and hands in lap during group time
Purpose: To gain control of body
To avoid accidents

10. Raising a quiet hand to ask a question or give an answer.
Purpose: To facilitate manners and develop a social conscience
